What this Site is

Published chapters are free to read. There is no account sign-in, membership gate, or paid unlock on the Site today.

If that changes, this policy will be updated before any new collection begins.

Information stored on your device

Reading progress is saved in your browser’s local storage so you can continue where you left off on that device. I do not receive a copy of that progress on my servers.

A small cookie named reading-locale remembers your preferred reading language. Appearance preference may be kept in your browser for the current visit.

You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time; doing so may reset language preference and reading progress on that device.

Information collected automatically

The Site is hosted on Vercel. Like most websites, hosting and delivery systems may process technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and approximate location derived from IP, for security, reliability, and basic traffic measurement.

I use Vercel Analytics for aggregate, privacy-oriented usage statistics. It is intended to help me understand how the Site is used without building a marketing profile of you.

Comments (Hyvor Talk)

Chapter pages may include a comment section provided by Hyvor Talk (Hyvor). If you post a comment or create a Hyvor account to do so, Hyvor processes the information you provide under Hyvor’s own terms and privacy policy.

I receive the content of comments on the Site. Please do not post personal information you would not want public.

Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese chapter pages share one comment thread; English has a separate thread.

If you email hi@celestialprincesses.com, I will use your message and email address only to respond and to keep a record of the conversation as needed.

Why I use information

I use the limited information described above to operate and improve the Site, keep it secure, show the right language, remember reading progress on your device, host comments, and reply when you contact me.

I do not sell your personal information.

Sharing

Service providers that help run the Site—currently including Vercel (hosting and analytics) and Hyvor (comments)—process data as needed to provide those services.

I may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the Site, readers, or my legal rights.

International processing

Service providers may process data in Australia and in other countries. Where that happens, it is under their arrangements for delivering the service.

Children

The Site is a story site and is not directed at collecting personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to me, please contact me and I will delete it where practicable.

Your choices and Australian privacy rights

You can control cookies and local storage through your browser. You can choose not to use comments.

If you wish to access, correct, or ask me to delete personal information I hold about you (for example, an email you sent), contact me at the address below. I will respond within a reasonable time and remove what I can.

Some information sits only on your device (reading progress and language preference)—clear cookies and local storage in your browser to remove it there. Comments hosted by Hyvor may also need to be removed through Hyvor or by asking me to take them down on the Site.

If you are not satisfied with my response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

How long information is kept

Device-stored reading data stays until you clear it. Hosting and analytics logs are kept according to the provider’s retention practices and my need to operate the Site. Email correspondence is kept as long as needed to handle your request and ordinary records.

Changes

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when I do. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
